2008 Elmslie Chardonnay

2008 Elmslie Chardonnay

TASTING NOTES - The 2008 Elmslie Chardonnay
is a powerful barrel fermented and matured Chardonnay
bursting with aromas of cinnamon and grapefruit.
A balanced, full bodied wine with soft acids and a
subtle palate laced with smoky oak and yeast.

WINE MAKER NOTES - Our 2008 Chardonnay is made
from quality “Elmslie” grown grapes, hand-picked from
vines grown in rocky soil with a high clay content and
shallow top soil. Whole bunch pressed, a percentage of this
wine was aged in French oak barrels, then blended with
un-oaked chardonnay to create an excellent wine.

VINTAGE CONDITIONS - 2008 was a terrific vintage
with consistent, warm days and minimal disease.
The fruit was exceptional, producing ‘hedonistic’
ferments.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS – The 2008 Chardonnay matches
exceptionally well with salmon, soft cheeses or a creamy
mushroom risotto.
